Group of People In Front of Greek Ruins

During this 11-day study abroad program, you will explore historic Greek landmarks and gain an in-depth knowledge of Greek food by participating in cooking classes, factory visits and wine and oil tastings. This is a unique opportunity to discover one of the oldest ancient civilizations through their long-lasting food-making traditions.

Greek food, culture, and history: Greek cuisine is part of the culture of 希腊 and is recorded in images and texts from ancient times. Its influence spread to ancient Rome and then throughout Europe and beyond.

Ancient Greek cuisine was characterized by its frugality and was founded on the Mediterranean triad: wheat, olive oil and wine, with meat being rarely eaten and fish being more 常见的. Wine and olive oil have always been a central part of the cuisine, and the spread of grapes and olive trees in the Mediterranean and further afield is correlated with Greek colonization.

Students enroll in World Civilization spring course (three credits) or World Civilization spring course (one credit).  社区 members may audit (AU) with permission of the 教练.

Day 1 - Departure - Sunday, May 14th

  • Airport Transfer to Hotel

Day 9 - Nafplio - Monday, May 22nd

Day 10 - Athens - Tuesday, May 23rd

Price is $5,080, which includes:
